Gone. Never Forgotten.

Memorials for beloved pets.

Echo Whether it is at 8 years of age or 15 years, the decision of euthanasia is never an easy one to make for our beloved furry friends. Our family recently had to make this decision for our 12 1/2 year old golden, Echo. Having the choice between at-home euthanasia and in-cllnic euthanasia, we had been debating which would be best for Echo. While our thoughts were running wild— is it the right thing to do, is it the right time, where should we have it done? — it was comforting

knowing we had Dr. Janet to call.

Although I am positive Echo wondered why I was letting him eat my lasagna that night, his routine did not change and he never showed any signs of stress or worry. We were able to avoid the stressful car ride, busy vet clinic and allow him to rest in his favourite spot in the middle of our kitchen.

It was a very moving and emotional night as the four of us cuddled right up beside Echo while Janet walked us through the process. From spending time with Echo beforehand, to comforting him all throughout the procedure and saying the final goodbye; being in the comfort of our own home was wonderful for Echo and for our family. Thank you to Janet and her team for creating a very peaceful and comforting experience for our family.

Jacob I adopted him when I was in vet school and so he was there to help me through the trials of exams and my first job. He was also there to share in the joy of my wedding and was able to be a part of each my children's lives. He was an amazing dog. He was loyal and tender and always wanted to be by my side. Although it was difficult to let him go, he will always be with us in our hearts and in the memories of all of the good times we shared together. We love you Jacob!
